At the same time, the starting price for the Kwid automatic variant is Rs. 6.13 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom). Kwid comes in ten different variations. Three of these ten variations are automatic, while seven are manual (AMT). The seven available colors are Fiery Red, Moonlight Silver, Ice White, Bronze, Zanskar Blue, Ice Cool White with Black Roof, and Metal Mustard with Black Roof. This motor produces 14 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM and 12.7 bhp power at 7500 RPM. It has a 5-speed manual transmission with Honda's Eco Technology (HET) for improved performance. BS6-compliant 164cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected DTS-i engine powers the Bajaj Pulsar. Combined with a 5-speed manual transmission, this engine produces 14.65 Nm of torque at 6750 RPM and 15.68 bhp of power at 8750 RPM. In actual use, the Pulsar achieves respectable mileage of about 50–55 km/l. Although the Pulsar has greater power, it should be noted that the Unicorn has more torque at a lower engine speed, making it much better for city driving.

 

Price

The Honda Unicorn price is Rs. 1.05 lakh for the sole Standard BS-Vi version. In contrast, the cost of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 ranges from Rs. 1.23 lakh for the Single Channel ABS variant and goes up to Rs. 1.28 lakh for the Dual Channel ABS variant (all prices mentioned are ex-showroom). The Honda is something that may appeal to the average Joe on a budget, but it’s the Bajaj that comes across as the more potent motorcycle, albeit it’s a bit pricey.
