Dimensions
The mechanical similarities between the Magnite and the Kiger are obvious. Nonetheless, they are different from one another in terms of size. Here, the Magnite has an overall length of 3,994 mm, an increase of 3 mm over the Kiger. It is a lengthier vehicle. Here, the Magnite is likewise a broader vehicle. Its width is 1,758 mm, but the Kiger is 8 mm thinner. Yet, of the two, the Kiger is taller. Nissan Magnite is 1,572 mm tall compared to 1,600 mm for the Kiger.
On the other hand, each of these tiny SUVs has the same 2,500 mm wheelbase. Moreover, the Magnite and Kiger have 205 mm of ground clearance (unladen). Additionally, the 195/60R16 tire size is unchanged. The trunk volumes of the Magnite and Kiger are 336 and 405 liters, respectively, stopping their similarity.
Specifications
Magnite and Kiger share the same platform and have engines with displacements of 1.0L normally aspirated and 1.0L turbocharged. The results also stay the same. The 3-cylinder, normally aspirated gasoline engine produces 71 bhp of peak power and 96 Nm of maximum torque, while the 3-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine produces 99 bhp of peak power and 160 Nm of maximum torque. Moving on to the transmission choices, this is where the variations appear. The Magnite has two gearbox choices: a 5-speed MT and a CVT. Yet, the Kiger offers three different gearbox choices: a 5-speed manual transmission (MT), a 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT), and a CVT. The naturally aspirated motor is only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission in the Magnite. However, it can also be had with a 5-speed automatic transmission in the Kiger.
Price
When it was first introduced, Magnite had already surpassed all of its competitors in this area. The Kiger has succeeded in advancing this affordability game at a price much lower than before. Nissan Magnite prices range from Rs. 5.49 lakh to Rs. 9.59 lakh, while Kiger prices range from Rs. 5.45 lakh to Rs. 9.55 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The Renault Kiger price starts at 7.14 lakh rupees for the turbo models and 8.60 lakh for the CVT versions. Nevertheless, the Magnite with the turbo-petrol powertrain is less expensive, with pricing starting at Rs. 6.99 lakh, while trims with a CVT start at Rs. 7.89 lakh. It's interesting to note that the naturally aspirated engine on the Kiger may also be ordered with an automatic gearbox. Starting at Rs. 6.59 lakh, the price is ideal for a sub-4m SUV (all prices ex-showroom).
