Newly Launched Cars in India

 

The automotive market has seen rapid growth in India. Several carmakers are getting ready to bring new cars to the Indian market. The vehicles launched are either in a facelifted guise, a complete makeover or newly added variants. Some have also followed the 'green' path with new EV launches. 

Here's a list of new car launches in India in 2022:

 

1) Honda City e: HEV

The Honda City clocks 20 years in India. For the first time in India, Honda launched a hybrid variant of the Honda City. The petrol-hybrid engine is exclusive to the top variant, the City ZX. It gets a 1.5-litre hybrid engine that produces 96bhp and has a max motor performance of 107bhp with 127Nm of torque. Its price starts at ₹19.49 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

 

2) Tata Nexon EV Max

The Tata Nexon EV Max is a new car model in the Tata Nexon EV line-up. The Tata Nexon EV Max gets a 40.5kWh battery pack that produces 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. The Nexon EV Max returns an ARAI-certified range of 437km on a single charge. The Nexon EV Max price starts at ₹17.74 Lakhs (ex-showroom). 

 

3) Maruti Suzuki Ertiga

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift entered the market in April 2022. Besides that, the new Ertiga has four trims: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXI+. In addition, it gets a 1.5-litre with mild-hybrid tech. It also gets an optional CNG kit. The price of the MPV starts from ₹8.35 Lakhs (ex-showroom). 

 

4) Maruti Suzuki XL6

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 also entered the market in the facelifted guise. The XL6 engine gets a retuned powertrain with mild-hybrid tech. The six-seater MPV has three trims: Zeta, Alpha, and Alpha+. It gets a new 7-inch infotainment screen, ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, etc. The starting price of the XL6 is ₹11.29 Lakhs (ex-showroom). 

 

5) Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux made its debut in India in March 2022. In addition, it is the first pick-up truck offered by Toyota Kirloskar Motor. In addition, the power will be the same—only the torque will vary depending upon the transmission. The Hilux has two trims: Standard and High. The Toyota Hilux price starts at ₹33.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹36.80 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
