Maruti Suzuki recently launched a crucial product, the Grand Vitara. The carmaker built this vehicle on the Suzuki Global C platform, also shared by its step-cousin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Speaking of which, the Hyryder also has the same engine and transmission options as the Grand Vitara. Furthermore, to meet the demand of CNG buyers, the indigenous carmaker intends to launch a CNG variant of the Vitara in 2022. And irrespective of the engine type, the Grand Vitara has a high chance of entering the pool of bestselling Maruti Suzuki cars in the country.
But for now, let's
stick to the current offerings on this new compact SUV. So, let's read on.
Features
The new Maruti
Suzuki Grand Vitara has a long list of features. It boasts a nine-inch
touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. That
infotainment screen also displays a 360-degree camera view with guidelines,
which makes it convenient while parking and driving in heavy traffic.
Further, the Vitara
also gets a digital instrument cluster paired with a leather-wrapped steering
wheel with controls. You will also get a panoramic sunroof, but the base
variant misses out on that. There is also ambient lighting, a wireless charging
tray, front-ventilated seats, and a heads-up display, to name a few. For added
convenience, the top-most variant of the Grand Vitara will also offer you USB
fast charger ports (Type A and Type C). As you continue reading more about the
top-range variant in this article, you can check out the latest Grand
Vitara on-road price in your region on autoX.
Furthermore, the
top-of-the-line Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara also features projector headlamps
with LED DRLs, LED taillights, auto headlights, a rain-sensing wiper, a rear
wiper with a washer, etc. On the safety front, this compact SUV boasts ABS with
EBD, traction control, speed-sensing door locks, six airbags, and an anti-glare
IRVM, among others.
The Vitara's safety
features include a tyre pressure monitoring system, an engine immobilizer, an
ESC, and connected car technology. The latter comprises the Suzuki Connect app,
where you can track your vehicle, fuel level, last parked location, and
upcoming services, to name a few. Overall, the new Grand Vitara is a feature-loaded
vehicle, whether it's entertainment, engagement, or safety.
Variants
and Prices
Maruti Suzuki offers
the Grand Vitara in six trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Zeta+, Alpha, and Alpha+.
However, the strong-hybrid variants are only available in Plus (+) trims. These
trims further bring it up to fifteen variants.
