Do looks matter?
Looks are entirely subjective. One could like the Mahindra cars intimidating appearance and robust road presence. You may select the classic shape in a brand-new incarnation. Or you may appreciate the Wrangler-inspired style. However, a few people could still think the Hyundai Creta is attractive. But as was already said, the Thar stands out because of its unique appearance and commanding presence on the road.
Overall utility
Are you searching for enough seating, a large boot, comfortable seats, and a panoramic sunroof? The Creta is ideal for people who want a daily driver with an SUV attitude. Everyone will appreciate the comfort Hyundai has given to the SUV, whether they are sitting in the front row or the back. This does not imply that Thar is a subpar utility vehicle. It's only that having a boot room and being able to seat passengers in the second row are options. Although the driving dynamics have been enhanced, the giant stance makes Thar a little difficult to operate daily.
Dimensions
Thar has a much more significant road presence than Hyundai Creta since it is higher and broader. However, the wheelbase and total length of the Creta are longer. The Creta's boot has a 433-liter capacity as a consequence. That is where Thar fails. In addition, the Thar has just four seats compared to the five of the Creta.
Powertrain Comparison
We'll be contrasting the engine options offered in the specific models we started with, namely the Thar LX Diesel AT and the Creta SX.
In this category, there is no question of who won. The Thar offers a more powerful diesel engine and automatic gearbox. Furthermore, the Thar is predominantly a 4X4 SUV. Mahindra Thar price is worth its powertrain.
Safety Features Comparison
Both SUVs come with a lot of safety equipment. Thar received a rating of 4 stars from the Global NCAP for both kid and adult occupancy. Creta, meanwhile, still needs to undergo testing. However, the same-platform Kia Seltos received a 3-star rating for adult occupancy and a 2-star rating for kid occupancy. In this case, the Thar is undoubtedly a safer SUV.
Verdict Both SUVs are loaded with security features. The Global NCAP gave the Thar 4 stars for child and adult occupancy. On the other hand, the Creta still needs to be tested. However, the same-platform Kia Seltos were rated as 2-stars for children's occupancy and 3-stars for adults. The Thar is unquestionably a safer SUV in this situation.
