Maruti Suzuki Invicto overview

The Maruti Suzuki Invicto launched in India on July 5; we have our first peek inside before that date. The MPV, a Toyota Innova Hycross rebadged, is now the most costly vehicle the firm offers.

Interior

We have already seen the Invicto at a dealership in a series of photos leaked online. The Toyota Innova Hycross, the vehicle it is based on, has dual-tone interiors with silver accents all around the cabin. The Invicto, however, has a black motif with beige accents. A sunroof, which is also available on Innova Hycross versions, is added to the Invicto. Since the car is largely identical to the Toyota model, only minor, aesthetic alterations are made to the interior.

Engine and powertrain

Maruti Suzuki Invicto sports a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle gasoline engine paired with an electric motor. Maruti only offers the petrol-hybrid powertrain with the Invicto, whereas the Innova Hycross has two available powertrain options. It is the first Maruti Suzuki vehicle available without a manual gearbox, thanks to the powertrain's automated e-CVT transmission. The Maruti Suzuki Invicto specifications therefore look very promising.

Features

Maruti Suzuki has left out some of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto Features that the Innova Hycross gives customers to increase the MPV's attractiveness to consumers. We now know that Toyota's ADAS suite is not supplied with the Invicto and that seems to be a big miss for this MPV. In this MPV, Maruti Suzuki has also missed out on several high-end equipment like the JBL audio system and even the motorized tailboard.

Invicto price and booking

The Invicto is now the most costly car in the Maruti Suzuki lineup making it the brand’s new flagship model. Toyota and Maruti Suzuki cars have previously shared models, and the Invicto is no different. During a media interview, Shashank Srivastava, executive director of Maruti Suzuki, recently stated that the Invicto will cost more than Rs 20 lakh. And it did launch at a higher price, with ex-showroom prices starting at Rs. 24.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The Innova Hycross' equivalent strong-hybrid models range in price from Rs 25.03 lakh to Rs 29.99 lakh, making the Maruti Invicto price somewhat similar. Toyota Innova Hycross will now face off against the Maruti Invicto.
