The Austrian bike manufacturer is successful in setting a benchmark in India. Good performance and quirky looks with decent pricing have contributed to the rising sales of KTM bikes in India. However, these bikes have received several price hikes in the past few months of this year. So, if you are planning to purchase a KTM bike, below are a few models that can grab your attention. Let's begin!
1)
KTM 125 Duke: This is KTM's entry-level bike in India. The KTM 125 Duke gets
similar design cues to its elder siblings. Be it the fairing, headlamps, or the
digital instrument cluster. They are identical to the KTM 200.
Furthermore, it has
a 125cc liquid-cooled engine with an output of 14.3bhp and 12Nm of peak torque.
As for the pricing,
the ex-showroom price in Delhi is Rs 1,78,041.
2)
KTM 125 RC: The RC series has a range of fully faired bikes. It
has the same engine as its naked bike, the 125 Duke. The KTM 125 RC
is a fully faired version and gets more or less the same features as the Duke
version.
The KTM 125 RC's
price is Rs 1,88,640, ex-showroom, Delhi. If you want to know the on-road price
and compare it with other KTM bikes' prices, visit the
"compare bikes" section under the "bikes/scooters" category
on autoX.
3)
KTM 200 Duke: The 200cc naked bike used to be an entry-level
before the launch of the KTM 125 Duke. The 200 Duke also has
the same design and styling as other Dukes.
Moreover, there is
only one fully-loaded variant with a price tag of Rs 1,91,693, ex-showroom,
Delhi.
As for the
powertrain, there is a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with an
output of 24.6bhp and 19.2Nm of torque. Accelerating the bike with the right
wrist can send the power to the rear wheel along with a six-speed manual
gearbox.
4)
KTM 200 RC: It is the fully faired version of the 200 Duke, and
that too, with the same engine. This 200cc KTM bike is also one of the top-selling
bikes in India.
However, this bike
has sporty dynamics. It is also worth mentioning that the 200 RC shouldn't be
your daily commuter because of the low-slung riding position.
The KTM 200 RC has only
one variant with a price tag of Rs 2,14,688, ex-showroom, Delhi.
5)
KTM 250 Adventure: The 250cc Adventure is the entry-level
offering in KTM's Adventure series. Furthermore, this bike shares some of its
parts with its naked-bike sibling, the 250 Duke. As for the specifications, it
has a 248cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 29.5bhp and 24Nm
of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
The KTM 250 Adventure's
price is Rs 2,44,205 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
So, these are a few
bikes that are currently available on the Indian market. There are also KTM
bikes available with a higher engine displacement, like the KTM 390 Duke,
which also comes in the Adventure series. Apart from that, KTM has plans to
bring the 790cc engine and beyond to India. To check on those models, you can
find a curated list of the upcoming bikes in India,
either of all brands or by selecting a brand.
