The Jeep Compass Trailhawk update has been launched in India. Priced at ₹30.72 lakhs (Ex-Showroom), the Compass Trailhawk is Jeep's hardcore off-road-focused Compass variant. The standard Jeep Compass originally had a Trailhawk version in India for its pre-facelift variant. However, after the launch of the facelifted Compass, the Trailhawk variant didn't make its appearance until now. Read on for more information on the new Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India.
In the Looks Department
The Compass Trailhawk is an off-road-focused
variant of the Jeep Compass and gets
certain differentiations in light of that, focused on its purpose.
Cosmetic updates to the Jeep Compass Trailhawk
include a different bumper setup front and rear for better approach and
departure angles suited to its off-road purpose. It also gets sporty accents
and a new alloy wheel design. The Compass Trailhawk even retains its sporty red
accents and red tow-hook on the rear.
Cosmetically, the Trailhawk is sportier than its
standard sibling. The exterior gets black and red accents, with red and black
accents on the hood as well, and "trailhawk" lettering.
More Off-Road
While the standard Compass
sticks to its SUV roots and gets certain off-road capabilities, the Trailhawk
takes it a step further. While both cars benefit from off-road modes, the
Trailhawk also gets a Rock mode that the standard Compass doesn't have. The
Trailhawk also gets higher suspension and 17" inch alloys rather than
18" inch ones. The Trailhawk also benefits from underbody protection.
Off-Road in a Couch
The interior of the Trailhawk gets a similar
overhaul as the Compass facelift. Expect a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen
with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and voice recognition features. The cabin
is likely to get a sportier steering wheel, ventilated seats, a 360-degree
camera and more bells and whistles.
Inside the Trailhawk
The Trailhawk is based on the Compass's top-end
variant. But unlike the standard Compass, the Trailhawk gets only a
diesel-powered variant. The Compass Trailhawk also gets a four-wheel-drive
system with Jeep's SelecTerrain that enables the car to have features such as
Rock mode and Hill Decent mode. Powering the Trailhawk is a 2.0-litre Multijet
turbocharged diesel mill married to a nine-speed automatic gearbox only. The
heart of the beast can put down 170PS and 350Nm of torque.
A Pure Premium SUV
