Ather Rizta vs Ather 450X Comparision

Ather Energy is one of the leading manufacturers of electric two-wheelers in India. They offer high-quality electric scooters known for their long range, powerful performance, and premium features. If you are planning to buy an Ather scooter but need clarification on the Ather Rizta and 450X, this article will help you understand the differences and choose the right one.

Range and Battery
Both scooters have a 2.9 kWh lithium-ion battery. According to ARAI certification, the Rizta provides a riding range of 123-160 km on a single charge. On the other hand, the 450X delivers a range of 111-150 km per charge. So, the Rizta has a slight edge in riding range due to power and efficiency optimization.

Charging Time
To charge from 0-80%, the Rizta takes around 6 hours and 40 minutes, while the 450X requires 6 hours and 36 minutes. Both support fast charging and can be fully charged within 8 hours using the standard home charger with the scooter.

Motor and Performance
A 6400W motor powers the 450X compared to the 4300W motor on the Rizta. This allows the 450X to produce more torque (26Nm vs. 22Nm) and a higher top speed of 90kmph against 80kmph. Additionally, the 450X gets torque vectoring for better handling and acceleration. So, in terms of outright performance, the Ather 450X is quicker and more fun to ride.

Both Ather Scooty in India have modern connectivity features through the Ather app. They get ride statistics, navigation, geo-fencing, over-the-air updates, and more. In terms of riding modes, the 450X offers Warp mode for quick acceleration in addition to Sport, Ride, and Eco modes. The Rizta only gets Zip and Smart Eco modes for more relaxed riding.

The 450X gets a slightly larger 10.2-inch touchscreen, while the Rizta has a 7-inch screen. Build-wise, both are very well put together with premium fit and finish levels. Compare scooters in India before buying any of the two based on their design and build quality.

Variants and Colors
The 450X comes in a single 2.9 kWh variant, while the Rizta gets S and SX variants with minor spec differences. In terms of colors, the 450X is offered in six shades: grey, white, red, blue, black, and yellow. The Rizta gets three color options: white, grey, and blue.

Warranty and Service
Ather provides a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty on the battery and motor of both scooters. They also offer 3 years of free servicing, which eases ownership. Ather has established experience centers across key cities for quick assistance and repairs.

Conclusion
The Ather 450X is a premium offering with higher power output and additional riding modes. It will appeal more to enthusiasts looking for sporty rides. On the other hand, the Rizta strikes a good balance of value, features, and performance. Given its affordable price tag and sufficient range, it makes more sense for daily city commutes. Overall, the Rizta has a slight price-to-value ratio edge. However, the 450X delivers a more engaging riding experience if budget is not a constraint.
