Styling and Colours
The current version of the roadster-segment Yamaha bikes has the same general look, including the projector-style headlamp with dual DRLs in the front, the muscular fuel tank, the step-up seat, the engine cowl, the side-slung exhaust, and the 17-inch wheels on both ends. For this motorcycle, Yamaha Motor India has also offered several add-ons. The tank pads, skid plates, USB chargers, and adjustable levers are all on this list. Meanwhile, two more color possibilities have been added to the color palette. The manufacturer has added Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black to the current Cyan Storm, Ice Fluo-vermillion, Racing Blue, and Metallic Black DLX palette.
Mechanical specifications
The 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology that drives the YZF-R15 series remains in the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2. This engine, coupled to a six-speed transmission, has a maximum power of 18.1 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm. The 2023 model receives new hardware to conform with the OBD2 standards, even if the numbers are comparable to the previous iterations. So these are the Yamaha MT 15 V2 Specifications.
Features
There are two versions of the 2023 MT-15 V2: Standard and Y-connect. A projector-style LED headlamp with LED DRLs, an LED taillight, and a completely digital instrument cluster are among the Yamaha MT 15 V2 Features offered across the range. With Bluetooth connectivity, the Y-connect version can access extra services, including call alerts, SMS and email alerts, phone battery levels, last parking locations, and malfunction notices. Additionally, LED turn indicators are included with every color choice save for the Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue paint themes. Bulb-style turn indicators are included in the Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black color schemes.

Suspension and Braking Hardware
A preload-adjustable rear mono-shock and upside-down telescopic front forks make up the suspension system of the 2023 Yamaha MT-15 V2. Single discs on both wheels are anchors, while the dual-channel ABS, traction control, and side-stand engine cut-off function serve as the safety net. Additionally, the assist and slipper clutch mechanisms are still in the gearbox.
Verdict The MT-15 version 2.0 is still an excellent tool for navigating city traffic. Those seeking an extremely enjoyable commute will be immediately drawn to its vibrant engine, low curb weight, and rapid handling. Even though it is more expensive than the previous bike, the pricing is fair. At Rs 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom), the MT 15 V2 price is almost Rs 13,000 more expensive than the previous model, but it still occupies a sweet spot compared to bikes like the KTM 125 Duke, which commands Rs 10,000 more despite having fewer features and power (all pricing and comparisons on ex-showroom value).
